A WordPress Theme Could Make or Break Your Websites Success

Using a theme on a WordPress site is like staging a house to sell it. You want to put your best foot forward, and we all know how important first impressions are. Online, you have a very short time to make a good impression, or a visitor will click away and will not be likely to return.

That is why building an attractive, well organized website is so important. I made this little video because a picture is worth a thousand words. Just a quick tip. If you click onthe little arrows in the lower right hand corner of any YouTube video, you can watch it full screen.

So there you have it. I had some fun learning how to create a slide show for you, but I hope that I clearly made the point the choosing a good theme for your WordPress website is really important. I use StudioPress themes. Some/most of the examples I used in that presentation were from StudioPress. I have told you that I started out with a free theme, and blogging was a lot harder not only to use, but to optimize so the search engines would take notice of my site.
You want to choose a theme that has built in features to make it easy to use keywords in such a way that they are properly placed to give you the most bang for the buck. To be clear though, there are specific strategies on how and where to use keywords. SEO is a huge topic, and that will be the subject of quite a few of my blogs in the future.

WordPress is an Awesome Choice and Themes Make it Even Better.

Without it,I never would even have a blog I think I can say that would be true for a fair number of other people. Small businesses would do themselves a huge favor if they would have a WordPress website made so they could easily connect with customers and feature information about new products and all the products they offer.

If you have a small business, I would encourage you to seriously check out WordPress. I belong to the local WordPress Meetup. They are self professed WP junkies. In fact, this summer, there are camps all over the United States to help people at all levels how to use that for their websites. There is one in Kansas City that is two days and is very reasonable. I am going, you might want to check it out or one near you.
